The Accra North Region of the International Central Gospel Church is recruiting a Finance Manager for the Regional Office.
POSITION: FINANCE MANAGER
The Finance Manager reports to the Regional Administrator and liaises with the Head of Finance in the Head Office to provide the financial management support to all assemblies in the Region
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Finance Manager shall be responsible for the following
1. Ensures that all assemblies in the Region comply with ICGC financial management policies and procedures
2. Ensures that churches in the Region keep proper books of accounting and all records are up to date
3. Prepare and consolidate the region’s financial statements that complies with IFRS(International Financial Reporting Standards)
4. Ensures that the Head Office receives quarterly and yearly Regional Consolidated Financial Statements
5. Ensures that all assemblies in the Region pay their corporate obligations promptly to the Head Office. These include Missions Common Fund, quotas for special events, and any other payments agreed by the leadership
6. Ensures that all statutory payments are also made to the relevant office in time to avoid penalties
7. Monitors the Central Aid contributions paid and quickly prompt all late payers to comply
8. Makes necessary arrangement for auditing of financial statements of the Region
9. Prepares regional office budget for the Regional Council
10. Prepares regional office quarterly financial statement for the Regional Council
11. Assists in the training of subordinates and other staff on sound accounting practices
12. Ensures the data integrity of all the assemblies financial records
13. Contact Head of Finance in the Head Office regularly to ascertain list of defaulters for corporate payments and correct the situation
14. Any duties that may be assigned from time to time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Must be a committed member in the Church
• Must have deep knowledge about the workings of the Church
• Must understand the church culture, values and principles
• Must appreciate the ICGC Brand and work to uphold and promote it
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent
• Level 2 of Professional Qualification in ICA, ACCA, CIMA
• At least three years working experience in a finance department
• Proficient in the use of accounting software for monitoring financial transactions of all assemblies in the region.
• Good knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications( eg Word and Excel etc)
• Ability to prepare final accounts
• Experience in auditing is an added advantage
